About Us

Seymour's is an independent family business set up in 1957. We pride ouselves on supplying a diverse range of quality soft furnishing goods to a wide customer base. Our beautiful store in Darlington’s market square constantly restocks so that customers look forward to viewing new items. We have built up a well-earned reputation by pleasing our customers.

The selection of goods on offer is vast and includes our own range of poly cotton sheets in sizes ranging from bunk, three-quarter and up to superking size. We also stock the latest thing in bedding - natural fibre sheets and accessories in soft touch cotton and modal, or choose from our more traditional Epyptian or organic cotton ranges.

Luxurious duvets are available in ranges including down, feather, silk and hollowfibre and from brands such as Nimbus, The Fine Bedding Company, Brinkhaus and Fogarty. Pillows are also available in all these fillings plus an excellent range of foam filled options including the famous Isotonic range of memory foam and the Dunlopillo range of latex foam. Pure wool blankets are available to order in a range of qualities from lambswool to Cashmere and are still made in the traditional way in the heart of Yorkshire.

Our main range of towels come from a mill in Portugal and are available in two qualities – 475 gms or 700gms. Both ranges offer a superb quality towel – both suitably thick and very absobent at a price you will find hard to believe.

On our website you will also be able to choose from a wide selection of ready made curtains in traditional and modern styles, duvet covers from single to super king and bedspreads, throws and cushions to suit all tastes. Featured brands include Rectella, Viyella, Helena Springfield, Hummingbird, Sheridan, Yves Delorme and many many more.

Anybody familiar to our shop and the services we offer will know that we also have a highly regarded interior design department. We are in partnership with some of the most prestigious brands in the world of interior design such as Pierre Frey, Osborne and Little, Colefax and Fowler, Jane Churchill, Brunschwig and Fils, Jab, Cole and Son, Zimmer and Rohde – the list is simply endless and our library overflowing with book upon book and hanger upon hanger of simply beautiful fabrics and papers of all colours and textures. After a session with one of our own designers, the end result should turn any room large or small into something special that uniquely represents your own style – modern, traditional, something in between? – we think we have it all covered. We are also happy to supply cut lengths of fabric, wapllpaper by the metre, trimmings, bespoke poles and any of our other products including upholstery and furniture in any quantity. As our web site becomes more established we will increase the product ranges. However, should you be looking for a particular brand or product, the probablity is that we either have it or can get it for you. This could be anything from a hand made bed to a custom sized fitted sheet. Please just ask us - we want to be as helpful as possible.
